The Timber Towns district is not just aesthetically beautiful, but thanks to its many residents, it is also a region with soul.
The communities of Blackbutt & nearby Benarkin continue to increase in population. This growth has put further pressures on the community and its resources; and it is for this reason BYCA (Blackbutt Youth & Community Association) implemented its bi-annual study of its community, conducting its first community survey in October - November 2003 with its follow-up community report in February 2004.
Our latest, 2006 report explores the results of our 2005 community survey and picks up where the previous report left off; delving deeper into the needs of the community, utilising a well distributed survey to gather the relevant information and create this important paper.
