Hello and welcome to the Blackbutt Trail Riders Club.
My name is Cathy Vesotsky and it is my aim to build a friendly trail riding club that welcomes all different members of the horse community. I aim to provide a friendly atmosphere where horse lovers can meet and ride horses together in a safe environment.
Blackbutt Trail Riders Club is a fledgling club with the hopes and prospects of becoming a well established club and eventually a member of the ATHRA, Australia Trail Horse Riders Association. The club will be based on the guide lines recommended by ATHRA.
As this is a fledgling club there will be no membership fees as such, but you will be asked to sign a waiver form and upon membership be asked to take out EFA insurance, a once a year fee of $70.00 that covers you no matter where you ride. Membership is required on the third (3) outing.
The home grounds are at my property located in Blackbutt with close access to the Benarkin forest which will provide most of the trail riding. There are several near by forests that will also be available for outings and trail riding. The home grounds are quite modest but adequate, there is float parking in an enclosed area, water available and a small cross country course. Toilet facilities will be available at the main house and an outdoor campfire area for camping weekends.
I hope to encourage people to have fun in a family friendly environment and enjoy their horses. Rides are on the last Weekend of the month. BTRC news letter issued monthly.
